A great solo or duo act is essentially designed for those who have a smaller entertainment budget set aside for their entertainment requirements than those with larger budgets for full live bands. It goes without saying you don’t get the same level of impression with these smaller, budget-based options but they do still very successfully engage your audience, and will certainly provide excellent, engaging entertainment for your guests. Our solo and duo acts also serve a purpose when you literally only have room and scope for a small inclusion in your event. There are two main benefits in booking a smaller solo or duo act. They cost less than full band shows do, so if you’re on a smaller budget, this may suit. Also, they take up less space, and play to a smaller, more intimate crowd. They also require less sound and lighting than larger bands, so for a multitude of reasons, they may suit your needs. But it must be stated that the results will equally be scaled down, compared to a much bigger, gregarious show from bigger bands. IS A SOLO OR DUO ACT AS IMPRESSIVE AS A FULL LIVE BAND?
Well, in most cases, no.. But whilst scaling down expectations, you also scale down the cost, and volume. So there are positives and negatives to both. The rule of thumb is: use a solo or duo act if your event, and expectations are somewhat scaled down. Scale up for the much bigger bands of three or more members, and realise the full potential a properly energised stage performance will bring to your excited, energised crowd!

Yes, most certainly. If you have a particular specialised song you’d like played at your event – just like our larger live bands, our solo and duo acts can take care of your important song requests too. If you have a particular first dance song, or a signature tune that means everything to your guests in attendance, just let us know, and we’ll make it so! Given enough notice, and it not being as complex as Bohemian Rhapsody!, our solo and duo artists will do their best to make it happen for you.

Feel free to run through our great solo and duo acts on our website, and once you’ve made a shortlist of the artists you prefer, just email us your list, and we’ll check the acts’ availabilities and confirm their pricing and details for your event location. Once you’ve decided which act you’d like to book, just let us know and we’ll create our simple booking form for you to return to us, along with your 25% booking deposit. Once we receive both of those, your act is confirmed in full for your event.
